Aftercare

In a continued effort to serve the families of our community, we at Horne Funeral & Cremation Service have as part of our staff and family, a full-time Aftercare coordinator. Our coordinator is a certified bereavement facilitator with the America Academy of Bereavement and has received training in specified areas of grief therapy.

With over ten years of experience, our specialist has facilitated many support groups and worked with children and teenagers in their grief. The aftercare program consists of grief support to families, support groups, monthly social/educational meetings and the annual holiday service of remembrance.

In addition, Horne Funeral Service is available for speaking engagements to educate the community on grief issues. We feel that our responsibility does not necessarily end with the funeral ceremony. Because of this concern, our Aftercare coordinator is available to assist families in their grief.
