Gratton Thompson

Gratton Thompson has been a part-time funeral assistant since 2001.

He is a Christiansburg native and retired after serving several decades as Timekeeper for the Town of Christiansburg.

Gratton is the longest serving active member of the Christiansburg Fire Department, having served for 42 years. He is first Lieutenant of the department, a position he has held for over 20 years.

Gratton and his wife, Cora, are active members of the Christiansburg Pentecostal Holiness Church.
