Frank Edward Quesenberry

June 21, 1931 — May 12, 2015

Frank Edward Quesenberry, 83, went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Frank passed from his earthly home with his family by his side.

Frank was born on June 21, 1931; he lived a remarkable life, enriched with abundant love, happiness and honor. Frank’s unwavering devotion to the Lord lit his path in every endeavor, from loving husband to patriarch of the Quesenberry clan, from proudly serving his country to passionately tending his farm. His legacy is monumental, as he undoubtedly impacted every person that was fortunate enough to be graced by his companionship.

Frank was easily recognized around town with his cowboy hat and boots. Steadfast in his traditions and work ethic, he never failed to savor every bit of God’s glorious creation, in which he found childlike joy.

Frank proudly served in the Korean War. He continued to live his life in service once home as a steward to the land. He farmed the majority of his life and loved spending time in the fields with his son and their cows. An avid traveler, he explored the country throughout his career as a long-haul truck driver. His most treasured job was loving husband, and he lived for time with his family. Frank was an active member of the Valley View Primitive Baptist Church of Riner.

Preceded in death by parents Harley and Lura Quesenberry, wife Shirley Chafin Quesenberry, son Michael Edward Quesenberry, sisters Thelma Taylor, Alma Gae Walker, and Delois Quesenberry, and brother Ellis Quesenberry.

He is survived by wife Linda Goodwin Quesenberry; daughter Deborah (Scott) Segrest; stepdaughter Dawn (Tim) Newland; sister Carrie Lou (Ray) Smith; and his grandchildren: Emily (Lee) Tucker, Allison Segrest, Chloe and Alexis Harless; and great-granddaughter Abigail Kate Tucker. He also shared many adventures with his life-long friend Rudolph Smith.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Horne Funeral Home, with Elder Raymond Goad officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
