Ashlyn Nicole 'Ash' Poole

Ashlyn Nicole Poole (Ash), 16, our beautiful angel, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 22, 2018.

Ash is survived by her parents, Steven and Melissa Poole; sister, Kaitlyn; her furry brother, Bandit, all of Christiansburg; grandparents, Walter and Pam Wade of Christiansburg, Kathie and Robert Cowart of Folkston, GA, Ronnie and Christine Poole of Hortense, GA, Glynn and Ok Sun Creamer of Ludowici, GA; great-grandparents, Catherine Herrin of Folkston, GA, Geraldine Gest of Jesup, GA, Shelby White of Clifton Forge, VA, Shirley Cowart of Folkston, GA; special friend, Alex Leonard of Christiansburg; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family, friends, and teammates.

Ashlyn was our beautiful social butterfly who always made friends wherever she went. She was full of personality and never wasted one moment of her life. Ashlyn was an incredible athlete, playing volleyball and lettering in indoor track, outdoor track, and softball. She was an avid animal lover (especially Pugs), people lover and lover of food. Ashlyn’s sass, spunk, and selflessness was a magnet for the countless friends she had and her love for her family and friends was fierce. We pray that her light and love of life will continue to shine in those who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2018, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Belmont Christian Church, with Pastor Brandon Craig and Rev. Joey Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center in Ashlyn’s memory.
