Susan 'Susie' Smith Thomas

Susan ‘Susie’ Thomas, 81, of Christiansburg passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Ora Smith; father, John Smith; husband, George Thomas.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Mary Messina (Steve), Brenda Nicewander and Wanda Duncan; sisters, Viola Howery and Diane Bolling (Scotty); brother, Leroy Smith (Linda); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Susie will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and love for animals. Her special neighbors of Christiansburg will fondly remember her being street monitor and the nursing home staff will fondly remember her being hall monitor.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 12-1 at New Hope Church of God. Funeral Services will begin at 1 pm at New Hope Church of God. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Radford Health and Rehab Center for their care of Susie.
