Ada Mildred Sutphin, age 93, of Christiansburg, VA passed away on Saturday December 13, 2008.
She was born in Montgomery County on April 25, 1915 to the late John Thomas Epperly and Bessie Bishop. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Richard Lawson; second husband Blane Sutphin; sons Wayne and Danny Lawson; sisters Treva and Ruth; and brothers Gibbs, J.B., and Bernard.
She is survived by her children: Manuel Lawson and wife Wanda of Christiansburg, Saford Lawson of KY, and Polly Lawson of NC; brother Harry Epperly and wife Judy of Lewisburg, WVA; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Horne Funeral Home with Pastor T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday December 15, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
