Agnes Hodges

HODGES, AGNES M. PRESTON, 93, of Shawsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Kroontje Health Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin E. ?Bill? Hodges and son, Bobby Lee Hodges. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. & Lois Hodges of Dublin; Everett L. Hodges of Pembroke; Clyde S. & Pat Hodges of Elliston; daughters and son-in-law, Jeanette H. Hansbrough of Aiken, SC; Barbara C. & Charles Miles of Shawsville; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lucille Sink of Princeton, WV and one sister-in-law, Leatha Preston of Christiansburg; and a daughter-in-law, Martha L. Scott and her husband Phil of Christiansburg.

The family will receive friends friends from 5 ? 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 at The Horne funeral Home, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Nichols officiating with interment to follow in the Preston Family Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Kroontje Health Center and Good Samaritan Hospice for the special love and care given to ?Granny? Hodges. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Camp Christi at 4704 Roanoke Road; Christiansburg, VA 24073.
