SCHLEMMER, AGNES HALL, age 77, of Christiansburg passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005.
Born June 14, 1928 she was preceded in death by her foster parents, Waddy Curn Shrader and Leeanna Bell Correll Shrader and her biological parents Walter Hall and Katie Lou East Hall and husband, Paul Schlemmer; one son, Steve Daniel Shrader, six sisters, four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Diane Dickey of Christiansburg; three grandsons, Richard Rawlings of Hurt, VA; Daniel Steve Shrader of Anchorage Alaska; also Steve Bodek, Shipman, VA; one very special granddaughter, Lorrie Justice of Riner, VA; six great grandsons, Richard B. Rawlings Jr., Andy Rawlings, Dylan Bodek, Brandon Justice, Kris Hammond, Sean Hammond; one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews; two very special nieces, Gladys (DeeDee) Shelton of Matheny, WV, Roxie O?Donnell of Snowville, VA and Dolly Shrader of Bluewell, WV.
She loved being with her family and she loved cooking big meals on holidays and having her family there. She loved traveling with her daughter. She Made Beautiful hand sewn quilts and pillows. She was known well for making her rum cakes, which everyone loved. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September, 26th, at the Correll Family Cemetery in Union Valley with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 4005 Electric Road; Roanoke, VA 24014. The Schlemmer Family is being served by Horne Funeral & Cremation Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
