Aileen L. Gilmore, 95, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Gilmore; son, Douglas Gilmore; and granddaughter, Angela Sheppard Shaver.
Aileen is survived by her daughters, Janet Snyder and son-in-law Alvin, and Nancy Adkins; daughter-in-law, Linda Gilmore; grandchildren, Dwayne Sheppard, Karen Gilmore, Amanda Fuehrer; and six great-grandchildren, Trevor Sheppard, Corey Sheppard, Jessica Barker, Ryan Barker, Autumn Fuehrer, and Alayna Fuehrer.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 9, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery.
