Albert “Peanut” Johnson, 95, of Christiansburg, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 8, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mamie Johnson; daughter & son-in-law, Annie M. & William Dewese; as well as several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Mildred Jarrrett & husband, Bobby J.; grandchildren, Joseph & Theresa Hagy, Marie & Tim Akers, Steven Dewese and Wayne Dewese; great-grandchildren, Amy Bainbridge, Shaun Hagy and Matthew Akers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thanks to the folks at Country Kitchen and to the Medi Home Health & Hospice for the great care they took of Peanut.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 5-8 pm at the Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2720 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 10th at 11 am at the Harbor of Hope Church, with Rev. Richard Kingrea, Pastor Buford Linkous and Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
