Alfred Holcomb, 79, of Richmond, Va., died Sunday, September 30, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold M. and Josie C. Holcomb, and a sister, Lela H. McGuyer.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances A. Holcomb of Richmond; daughter and son-in-law Phyllis and John Holmgren, grandchildren Kristen and Stephen Holmgren, all of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa and Clovis Linkous of Blacksburg, and Janice and Ruben Hixon of Christiansburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A private memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday, October 13, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Peters officiating. The family request no flowers please.
