Alfred Delano McNeil

Alfred Delano McNeil of Christiansburg, passed away at the age of 73 on March 23, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, William P. and Violet Ruth McNeil; brother, Ronceverte McNeil; sister, Aderdeen Vest; brother-in-law, Horace Vest; and nephew, Clay Vest.

Alfred is survived by his dear friend he loved dearly, Chloe Bishop; daughter, Kim McNeil (Jimmy); sister, Vivian Dickerson (Buddy); brother, Marshall McNeil (Judy); sister-in-law, Rushia McNeil Epperly; two nephews; six nieces; several great-nieces and nephews; as well as three great-great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Jami (who is also his niece), Walter and Nathan.
Alfred was a loving and devoted father who loved Country and Bluegrass music. He will be greatly missed by all his family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
