HOWARD, ALMA HORTON, age 77, of Shawsville, went to meet the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2007, at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Seneca Baptist Church in Elliston. The daughter of the late Edgar and Addie Horton, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie Lachica and Delma Flick, brothers, Alvin Horton, Henry Horton and Roy Horton.
She is survived by her husband, John Howard of Shawsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Les Kawamoto, Santa Ana, California and a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lillie Shelton, Josuha Tree, California and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 at the Seneca Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Virgil N. McHone. Interment will follow in the New Dublin Cemetery, Dublin, VA. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon Monday at the Church prior to the service. The Howard family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg, VA. (382-2612)
