Anna U. Palmer

Anna U. Palmer, age 91 of Riner, VA, passed away on December 28, 2020, at home in the loving care of her family.
She was born on September 28, 1929, to the late William H. and Ida L. Underwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Palmer, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Lee Palmer; and brothers, Kenneth Underwood and William ‘Billy’ Underwood.
Those left to mourn her passing are her daughters, Barbara Bibb (Henry), Phyllis Palmer, Charlotte Walton, Charlene Clark; sons, Charles E. Palmer, Jr., Mark Palmer, and Jerry Palmer; brothers and sisters, Ray Underwood (Jo) of GA, Melvin Underwood (Bertha) of AK, Freddie Underwood of NC, Dana Underwood, Roger Underwood (Pat), Darlene Underwood (Carl), and Judy Underwood, all of VA; as well as 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 2, 2020, from 1-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Buford Linkous and Delores Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
