Stewart, Arthur “Jack” Jackson Jr., 80, of Christiansburg, VA passed away on November 19th, 2010.
He was born on November 1, 1930 to the late Arthur J. and Nellie Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dean Stewart, and his sister, Laura F. Stinnett.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Wayne Stewart, daughter, Judy S. Atkinson, grandchildren, Jacqueline Newsome, Gwendolyn Lala, Jerri Lynn Warburton, Kimberly Span, and Whitney Span, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Special thanks to Carilion Clinic hospice and his wonderful nurse Pam Forsyth.
Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His dedication to his work and family was an inspiration to many over the years.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jube Burke officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Special thanks to Carilion Clinic Hospice and his wonderful nurse Pam Forsyth.
