Barbara Ann Blankenship

Barbara Ann Blankenship, 74, of Christiansburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Epperly; husband, Woody Blankenship; brother, Eddie Bain; special aunt, Grace Akers; special friend, Milton Reed; beloved companion, Lucille; cousins, Leon Akers, and Kenneth (Ann) Epperly.

Barbara is survived by her sister, Carolyn and Ronnie Stump; special cousins, Janice (Elwood) Atkinson, Steve (Marylou) Akers; nieces and nephews, Rebekah and Amanda Stump, Allison, Adam, and Tori Bain; sister-in-law, Angie Bain; and Dearest Friend, Betty Dickerson; as well as many other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 12-2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service to begin at 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Pastor T. Michael Bond will officiate the service and interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Wake Forest Cancer Center for all of their loving care.
