Beatrice 'Bea' Sluder Mitchell Thompson

Beatrice ‘Bea’ Sluder Mitchell Thompson of Christiansburg passed away on August 1, 2017. Born on December 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Roy Sluder and Ora Osborne Sluder. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Eddie Osborne and wife Arlene, Roy Sluder Jr. and wife Dorothy, Herbert Sluder and first wife Betty Wyatt Sluder and second wife Maxine Wimmer Sluder, William 'Bill' Sluder; as well as her first husband, Roy E. Mitchell; and her second husband, James E. Thompson.

Surviving are her two sons, Roy E. ‘Ed’ Mitchell Jr. of Christiansburg and Timothy ‘Wayne’ Mitchell and his wife Jennifer R. Dudding Mitchell; grandson, James-Robert E. Mitchell of Christiansburg; brother, Bobby and Ruth Sluder; as well as sister-in-law, Rita Sluder.

Services will be held at a later date at Gilkey Methodist Cemetery in Rutherfordton, North Carolina.
