Berneta Mae Metcalf, 77, of Christiansburg, passed away on December 3, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Kim and Cindy. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James ‘Jim’ Metcalf; children, Jesse James Metcalf and wife, Nancy, and Melody Mae Sutphin and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Crystal Metcalf, Jesse James Metcalf, Jr., Harmony Mae Sutphin, David A. Sutphin; great-grandchildren, Brenna, Emma, and Jake; brother, George Skinner and wife, Jill; and her nine cats she dearly loved.
Berneta was a loving mother and grandmother and loved her plants and her cats. She will be missed by her family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home.
