Costigan, Betty Akers, 67, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. She was born on December 21, 1942 to the late Dewey and Louise Akers.
She is survived by her husband, James Howell Costigan; children, Anthony James Costigan and wife, Phyllis, Jeffrey Scott Costigan and wife, Tammy, Michelle Leigh Costigan and fiancé, Noah Pendleton; grandchildren, Tyler Scott Costigan and Trista Scarlett Costigan; brother, Charles William Akers and wife, Maria, of Vinton, VA; sisters, Barbara Clowers and husband, Richard, of Richmond, VA, Rebecca Wilbourn and husband, Mike, of Newport, VA, Sandra Chinault and husband, Donnie, of Indian Valley, VA; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6p.m.-8p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Huffaker officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, VA.
