Betty Jean Lester Rader, 50, of Willis, our precious sister, joined Jesus on January 18, 2014.
At heaven’s gate she met her father, Luther Lester; mother, Ruby Lester Thompson; brothers, Jack and Jimmy Lester; and nephew, Daniel. She is survived by her brother, Ronnie (Betty) Lester; sisters, Elsie Seabrook, Judy (Gary) Roberts, Carolyn Altizer, and Kitty (Bruce) Harris; as well as other extended family and friends.
Betty loved animals, especially her dog “Riptar”, and enjoyed crafting, especially quilting and making jewelry. Betty was a very kind hearted person and will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 10-11 a.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Steve Lakey and Pastor Earl Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to help offset expenses to Horne Funeral Home, 1300 N. Franklin St., Christiansburg, VA 24073.
