Billie Dove Acord Doyle

Billie Dove Acord Doyle, 89 of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2015. She was born in Monroe County, West Virginia on December 17, 1925. Billie grew up in West Virginia but spent her adult life in Montgomery County. She worked at Kenrose Manufacturing Co. during her early years before becoming a hair dresser and barber. Billie owned and operated Cedar Valley Barber Shop in Radford for 25 years until her retirement. She was very proud of her work as were her customers. They were true friends and honored her with a steady base of repeat business. Billie will be greatly missed by all of her extended family and many friends.

Billie was preceded in death by her former husband, Roland Gray Doyle; and her daughter, Brenda Iris Doyle. She is survived by her daughter, Lois Babb; son, Cecil Doyle and his wife, Patricia; brother, James Richardson of FL; grandchildren, Mac Babb, Jennifer White, Russell Doyle, Suzanne Dillon, Kris Hrones, Steven Phillips, and Jonathan Phillips; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2015, from 2-3 p.m. at North Fork Baptist Church, Ellett. The Graveside Service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Church Cemetery, with Grover Nixon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, 100 East Main Street, Christiansburg, VA.
