PRICE, BILLY RAY, age 64, of Christiansburg passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005.
He will be sadly missed by his love and sense of humor, he showed to his family and friends. He worked for Corning Glass for 19 years, then Alliant Tech, where he worked for 12 years. After retirement, he drove a tour bus for a while, until he fought the battle with cancer and won, he is our BIG HERO. He was a member of the Elliston Church of God. He was a veteran having served in the U. S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie S. Price; and his sister, Dot Morrison. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Sarah C. Price of Christiansburg; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy Ray Price, Jr. of Christiansburg and Michael John & Hollie C. Price of Bassett; three granddaughters, Jessica Gravley, Stacie Ruple, Kelly Price; two great granddaughters, Chelsey Gravley, Mallory Ruple and one great grandson, Devin Price; one brother, J. C. Smith of CA; six sisters, Dinah Jones of FL; Alma Blankenship of MD; Jo Willis of MD; Bonnie Barber of FL; Jenny Hylton of WV; Ramona Brady of MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Price and Rev. Wayne Powell officiating. Military rites by VFW Post #7854. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mike Price Ministries, P.O. Box 248, Riner, VA 24149. The Price Family is being served by Horne Funeral & Cremation Service, Christiansburg, (382-2612).
