Bobby Randolph Bailey, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at Lewis-Gale Montgomery Hospital. Born in Bluefield, WV, on October 27, 1929, to the late Basil J. Bailey and Nettie Hartwell, Bob was the seventh of nine children. He was raised in Mercer County, WV, graduated from Beaver High School, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the United Nation Service Medal. He retired in 1996 from General Electric in Salem, VA, after almost 40 years of service. He was also a member of Faith Christian Church.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Riffey Bailey; devoted daughter, Donna Bailey Hudson of Rock Hill, SC; beloved son, Bobby Randolph (Randy) Bailey, II and wife, Sherri, of Christiansburg; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2015, from 3-5 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Faith Christian Church, 305 Third Street, Christiansburg, with Pastor David Rhudy officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
