Bradley Eugene Crawford, 62, of Christiansburg, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
He was born on January 8, 1951, to the late Norman and Opal Crawford. He served in the U.S. Army as A Sgt. in the Vietnam War. Brad was also a member of the Patriot Guard. He worked as a mechanic at Shelor and later ran Brad’s Garage on Radford Road.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Crawford. He is survived by his wife, Julia D. Crawford; first wife, Melva A. Crawford; children, Chris Crawford and fiancée Jackie, Rodney Crawford and fiancée Beth Anne, Denise Vernon and husband Jason, Barbara Davis and husband Brandon; grandkids, Chaz, Jake, Audrey, Emily, Abagail, Noah, and Madison; brothers, John Crawford and wife Jolee, Don Crawford and wife Brenda, and David Crawford and wife Brenda; sisters, Janice Thomas and husband Jerry, Frances Wright and husband John, and Deborah Jones and husband Gary; several nieces and nephews; as well as special caregivers, Mark Slate and Tommy Bean.
The family received friends on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service was held on Thursday, June 20th, at 11:00 a.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
