Brenda Lee Laue, 72, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on July 23, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born on March 17, 1943, to the late Ellis Vaughan and Mamie Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Rupe; brothers, Billy, John, and Jimmy Vaughan; and sister, Norma Jean Porter.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Bobby A. Laue; daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Rodney Smith; son-in-law, Eddie Rupe; two step-sons, Brad and Greg Laue; step-daughter, Missy Burleson; three granddaughters, Sherri Davis-Hudgins and spouse Melissa, Nikki Gibson, and Jennifer Griggs and spouse Richard; numerous step-grandchildren; two very special great-grandsons, Trent and Parker Yates; three great-granddaughters, Abby Yates, Lorelei and Piper Sprecher. Also surviving are her siblings, Walter Vaughn and wife Sylvia, Bonnie Potter and husband Dave, and Athelene Ashby; sister-in-law, Celia Vaughan; very special cousin, Kent Vaughan and wife Judy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member and Sunday school teacher at Elliston Church of God. She loved her job, meeting and helping customers at Welcome Home Furnishings in Christiansburg. Brenda never met a stranger and she was loved by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2015, from 5-7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Elliston Church of God, with Rev. Ronald King and Rev. Joey Shepherd officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Christiansburg.
