Carlis Bassett Baker (CB) of Christiansburg, has gone home to his Eternal Father Jesus Christ on October 16, 2016.
Born on October 16, 1944 to the late Early and Alma Baker. CB was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Baker. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Yevonne Baker; sons, Carlis and wife Lori, Jessie and wife Tara, Cory and wife Melissa; daughters, Alisa Baker, Kathy Endraske and husband Stan, Lynn Peoples and husband Pete, and Rhonda King; sister, Connie Boothe; sister-in-law, Lou Baker; brothers, Billy Baker, Phillip Baker and wife Patty; a special aunt & uncle, Kenneth and Pauline Hodges; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
CB grew up in Hiwassee, lived most of his life in Christiansburg, owned and operated C & I Painting Inc., a commercial painting company.
The family would like to express thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, with the Funeral Service to begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
