Carol F. Sutphin, 55, of Christiansburg, Virginia, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 11, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Arlie Sutphin and her older brother, Larry Sutphin.
Carol is survived by her significant other, Dorothy Clements of Christiansburg, VA; son, Brooks Sutphin of Christiansburg, VA; step-son, Jason Clements of Roanoke, VA; siblings, Debbie VanDyke of Christiansburg, VA, Sherry Vaughn (Donald) of Inman, SC, Paul Sutphin (Ron Wight) of Wilmington, NC, and Daryl Sutphin of Christiansburg, VA; grandchildren Brooklyn Sutphin, Alannah Clements (Jeremiah Roldan) and Sydney Clements; nephews, Charles DiRico (Karen) of Charlotte, NC, Tony Rowland (Ashley) of Inman, SC, and Cody Vaughn (Claudia) of Boiling Springs, SC; niece Lauren Sutphin (Carless Harris) of Christiansburg, VA; great-niece, Alexis Rowland; great-nephew Colton Harris; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins. Special friends of Carol’s family include Leslie and Wayne Hetherington, Brenda Moore and family and a host of other numerous friends and neighborhood friends.
Carol loved her furry companion, Luke. She was a lover of the outdoors and could often be found outside doing yardwork. Carol loved spending time with her family. She was known for being a hard worker and for the way that she adored her son, Brooks.
The family will receive friends from 11am - 12pm, on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Wesley Memorial Church located at 350 Stafford Drive, Christiansburg, VA 24073. A memorial service will directly follow with Pastor Charles DiRico officiating. The family kindly requests that those in attendance wear a mask/face covering.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation's be made to the GoFundMe account established in order to assist with Carol’s service expenses.
