Carrie Elizabeth Dame

It is with great sadness that the family of Carrie Elizabeth Dame announce her tragic passing on Thursday November 7, 2024. 

Carrie, 48, is survived by her mother, Susan Hamlin of Blacksburg Virginia; half-brother, Ehron Hicks; devoted husband, Don Dame; son, Kyle Bergman; daughter, Kelsey Bergman (Joe Weekly); grandchildren, Hudson and Josie; and special friend, Shelby Kelley. 

Carrie spent the last 16 years with Don as a resident in Christiansburg, Virginia. She worked as a program coordinator for New River Community Action (CHIP). Carrie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures - chatting with friends and family, cooking, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. No one who met her could forget her infectious laugh or her calming spirit. 

Family, friends, and others whose lives Carrie touched are invited to attend the visitation at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg Virginia on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, from 10-11 a.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. in the Chapel, with Mark David Bergman officiating. Graveside will be private.
