Charles Samuel Angle, 86, of Radford, passed away on November 24, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Faye and Leo Angle; sister, Frances Knowles; brother, Lewis Angle; and nephew, Melvin Angle.
He grew up in Floyd and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gwinn Angle; daughter, Donna Muhly and husband, David; sons, Rodney Radford and wife, Patti, Kelly Angle and wife, Susan, and Terry Angle; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Thompson; brother, John Angle and wife, Louise; and other extended family and friends.
Sam served 4 years in the Marines, 16 years in the Air Force and 15 years in the Civil Service. He was a World War II veteran. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
A special thank-you to the VA Pallative Care/Hospice for their loving care of Sam during the last weeks of his life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Horne Funeral Home, with the Memorial Service to commence at noon in the Chapel. Rev. Sebert Rorrer and Rev. Bobby Henley will officiate. Interment will follow in Stonewall Cemetery, Floyd.
