Charlie Epperly

April 14, 1933 — May 23, 2006

EPPERLY, CHARLIE DALTON, age 73, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Lena H. Epperly.

He is survived by loving wife of 50 years, Lois Epperly; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry & Kathy Epperly, Wytheville; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Denie Marie, Blacksburg; step granddaughter, Kelly Widner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey & Nancy Epperly, Jerry & Bonnie Epperly; half-sister, Beulah Nunley; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Epperly, Jenny Hylton, and brother-in-law, Eddie Walters.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd County. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1060 Lovely Mount, Radford, VA 24141 or the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 176; Christiansburg, VA 24068.

The family would like to thank Dr. Harry McCoy and staff, also the second floor staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital for all the loving care extended to Charlie during his illness. The Epperly Family is being served by Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg (382-2612).
