CHRISTINE ROOP SAUNDERS, 73, of Christiansburg, VA, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Altizer; 2 brothers, James and Marvin Roop.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Lee Saunders; a son, Gary Lee Saunders of Christiansburg; a grandson, Nicholas G. Saunders; 2 granddaughters, Amber Martin and Amanda L. Snipas; and 2 great- grandsons, Kyle and Kenny, Jr.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 6 pm at the Edgemont Christian Church, 2289 Edgemont Road, Christiansburg, with Pastor Peter Anderson officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, P O Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24068.
