Claude Wayne Henegar, 72, of Alum Ridge passed away July 14, 2017. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Hubbell Lighting Inc.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Sallie Henegar; brothers, Kenneth, Clarence and Reese Henegar; and sister, Marie Henegar Price.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bishop Henegar; son, Dan Henegar, Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughters, Amy Westmoreland and husband, Matt of Christiansburg and Kimberly Duncan and husband, Chase of Craig Co.; step-son, Steve Oliver of Christiansburg; 5 granddaughters, Nikki Long, Cy Anna Westmoreland and McKinzie Duncan, Ashley Oliver and Kayla Oliver; 1 grandson, David Long and wife, Amanda; 3 great-grandsons; sisters, Edith Berry of Mooresville, NC and Peggy Bailey and husband, Eddie of Meadowview; brother, Bob Henegar and wife, Shirley of Meadowview; special niece, Susie Delph and husband Larry of Mooresville, NC, special nephews, Dave Henegar and wife, LeAlyson of Meadowview, and J.D. Henegar and wife, Cathy of Glade Springs; sister-in-law, Patsy Henegar of Abingdon and brother-in-law, David Keith of Bristol, sisters-in-law, Barbara Duncan of Copper Valley and Gail Cole and brother-in-law, L.B. of Dublin; brothers-in-law, Donnie Bishop and wife, Karen of Christiansburg, C.L. Bishop and wife, Drema of Christiansburg, and Danny Bishop of Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery in Dublin.
