Cline (Chuck) Walters was born Oct. 18 1941 in West Virginia. He was known as a man with a tough exterior, but a kind heart. He served proudly in the 101st. calvary in Vietnam before returning home to start a long 50 year career in lighting sales. Chuck was a man with easy wants - to take care of those close to him and to enjoy life's simple pleasures. His favorite activities included golfing, enjoying a good steak, going to the movies, following VT sports, and solving the daily crossword puzzle. He passed peacefully with his loving family at his side the afternoon of Saturday May 20th. Chuck was preceded in death by Clarence Walters (father), Goldie Creasy Walters (Mother), Lindy Doyle (Brother), Janice Walters Harris (Sister), Peggy June Doyle Hurt (Sister), Patricia Walters (Sister), Christian Walters (Son), Alexander Tombrello (Grandson), Jonah Tombrello (Grandson), Gabriel Tombrello (Grandson).
Chuck leaves behind Judy Walters (Wife), Lanny Walters (Son) Janice Walters Tombrello (Daughter), Leigh Walters (Daughter), Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Walters (Brother and Sister-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Walters (Brother and Sister-in-law), Georgia Lund (Granddaughter), Jenna Lund (Granddaughter), Lucas Lund (Grandson), and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the hospice nurses at Carilion Roanoke Memorial for their kindness and support. Per Chuck's request, no public service will be held.
