Clinton Lee 'Bud' Shannon

Clinton Lee ‘Bud’ Shannon, of Radford, passed away on November 15, 2023 at the age of 48. He was born on June 29, 1975.
He is preceded in death by his husband, David Brandon Phillips; father, Charles Ray Shannon, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, June Blake (Steven) of Christiansburg; sisters, Sara Whitlow (Michael Edwards) of Dublin, VA, Daizy Richardson (Michael) of Panama City Beach Florida, Rose Shannon of Blacksburg, VA, Kimberly Flower (Joshua) of Verona, VA, Tonya Harris (Matt) of Blacksburg, VA, Elisha Jeffery (Richie) of Yadkinville, NC; brothers, Charles Shannon, Jr. (Julia ‘Honey’) of Pulaski, VA, Steven Blake II (Jane Rorrer) of Christiansburg, VA; his special four legged companion, Orey; numerous aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Bud took care of his husband David for the last few years providing care for him while he was ill. He liked swimming, shooting pool, video games, and playing cards. Bud was always humble, sweet, and had a huge heart.
Family has requested no flowers be sent to the funeral service. Instead of flowers if you would like to make a monetary donation to Horne Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses, the family would be greatly appreciative.
A celebration of Clintons life will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 2 pm at Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jenette Phillips officiating.
