Curtis Fizer, 72, of Christiansburg, passed away on January 2, 2021.
Curtis retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service and then worked for Montgomery County Public Schools in maintenance for 24 years. Curtis was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather ‘Papa’, who loved his family and was a faithful servant to the Lord. In his spare time he loved fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pam Fizer; sons, Mike Fizer (Katrina Clark), Matt Fizer, Jason Fizer, Steven Fizer (Brandy); grandchildren, Haley, Ashley, Caty, Michaela, Dylan, and Ellie. He is also survived by his mom, Ethel Fizer; brothers, Mason Henry ‘Button’ Fizer, and George Walter ‘Peanut’ Fizer; as well as foster family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 12-1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. in the Chapel, with Pastor Steve Garrett officiating. Graveside Services with military rites will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
