Dale Ashworth

ASHWORTH, Dale Franklin, of Christiansburg, 50, Dale served the Town of Christiansburg as a Councilman from 1998 - 2006, he suddenly passed away Friday, June 8th, 2007 as a result from a motorcycle accident.

Dale worked in the family business “Electrical Supply” in Cambria, VA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Aaron and Jessie Lovern and Jarman and Susan Ashworth.

Mr. Ashworth is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kathy M. Ashworth; father and mother, Charles and Annie Ashworth, Christiansburg; mother and father-in-law, William and Margaret Morris, of Max Meadows, VA; brother, Donald Ashworth, Christiansburg; sister, Diana Ashworth, Christiansburg; brother, Douglas and Lisa Ashworth, Riner; sister and brother-in-law, Debra and Michael Ashworth Hall, Pulaski; brother and sister-in-law, David and Joy Morris; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Steve Swecker; nieces and nephews, Terra and Chris Stafford, Kalea and Christopher Stafford, Wesley Snider, Nicole Lora, Morgan, Faith, Aaron Hall, Kayla, Kristin, Kara Ashworth, Jason Morris, Amy and Andy Faulkner, Mary and Brian Arnold, Max Meadows; Stephen and Ashley Swecker. Dale is also survived by his dogs, Schatzie, Greta, Addie, and Martha Stewart.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Horne Funeral Service, Christiansburg. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
