Rev. Dale Walter Ketch, 73, of Christiansburg, VA, went on to be with His Lord on August 4, 2011.
He was born March 9, 1938, in Woodland, Maine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert & Hope Ketch and his sister, Louise Judd. His first love, Jesus Christ ushered him into the presence of the LORD.
He is survived by his lifetime love of 48 years, Juanita Weeks Ketch; his daughter, Teresa & husband, Charles Short of Christiansburg; and his son, Dale Wayne & wife, Dempsie Ketch of Blacksburg; his wonderful grandchildren, Alicia and Grace Ketch, Anna and Josiah Short; his brothers, Richard & Dorcas Ketch of New Sweden, ME, Ward & Lois Ketch of Schuylkill Haven, PA, Philip & Gloria Ketch of Woodland, ME, his sisters, Myrtle & Marvin Post of Story City, IA; Juanita Knowlton of Caribou, ME; and numerous nieces and nephews, the congregation of Faith Tabernacle where he pastored the last 32 years , his colleagues in Christ, and many special friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 6-8 pm at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at 2 pm at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Farmer and Rev. Jackie Benton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg with military rites conducted by VFW Post 1184, Pulaski.
