Damien Edward Sawyers

Damien Edward Sawyers, 33 of Christiansburg, passed away February 14, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce M. ‘Shelley’ Carbaugh; grandmother, Aletha K. Carbaugh; grandfather, Robert ‘Bobby’ Carbaugh; Aunt, Connie Clark; and uncle, Frankie Sawyers.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Edward Sawyers; sisters, Latesha Carbaugh, Madison Sawyers; aunts, Robin Rice, Debbie Price, Melissa Sawyers; uncles, Jay Carbaugh, Nathan Robertson; cousins, Dawnya and Kayla Sawyers; MawMaw, Donna Linkous; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He will forever be missed and remembered for his honesty and loyalty to those who knew him. He loved music and the outdoors and had a soft spot for his nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to Kirsten Beavers, who never gave up on him and whom he held dearly to his heart, and to Erika Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
