Dan Flora

FLORA, DAN DAVID, age 55, of Blacksburg, left this world for his Heavenly Home on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

He was a licensed Real Estate Agent and Purchasing Agent. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Roy & Betty Phillips; grandparents, Wilmer & Flossie Eanes; and father-in-law, Charles Huff, Jr. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his father, John Flora of California his mother-in-law, Sadie Huff. He was the loving husband of his wife, Connie Sue Huff Flora; the loving father to his children and their spouses, Tammie & Terry Lawson; Dan, Jr. & Beth Flora; grandchildren, Amber & Austin Flora, Hunter Lawson, and step-grandson, Derek Lawson; brother and sisters-in-law, Bobby & Vanessa Medley and Pam Cantrell; special cousins, Doug Harris & Johnnie Lea; Bob & Judy Morris, Kari Hunt, and John Abraham; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Flowers will be appreciated, however those wishing to make memorial contributions, please consider the Duke University Research Center.
