David Wayne Brumfield

On December 14th David Wayne Brumfield went home to be with the Lord and is finally at peace. In his final moments, David was surrounded by his family that loved him immensely. David will be remembered for being a loving father, a doting grandfather and supportive Brother. His greatest gift was his ever-present love and devotion he showed to his family and an undying love for the Lord. David was a servant not only to his county by serving in the armed reserves but a servant to his community by being a Montgomery County deputy. David also valued education highly by selling books for to local schools for over three decades. 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Lee and Della Imogene Brumfield. Those left to cherish his memory are his son David "Tyler" Brumfield (Becky); grandson, Hudson Brumfield; brother, Gary Brumfield (Jennifer); nieces, Shannon Patrick (Scott) and Bethany Webb (Chris); nephew, Josh Brumfield, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024 from noon to 1:00 P.M. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Service will start at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel. Pastor William "Bill" Neeley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin VA.
