David 'Bink’ Cecil Lawson, 64, of Elliston passed in peace Saturday October 25, 2014.
He was born in Boissevain in Tazewell Co., VA to the late Cecil W. & Mildred Collins Lawson.
David was a devoted family man, loving father and caretaker to all. He was a dedicated Union man, retired employee of 34 years a Yokohama Tire Corporation, past coal miner, classic car hauler and fixer of everything.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Effie Irene Lawson; children, Tabatha Ann Lawson McCroy, Bryan David Lawson & wife, Billie Jean, and Darrin Cecil Lawson; special nephew, Michael "Little David" and wife, Millie Ann Weaver; grandchildren, Tabyr Trexell, Laila McCroy, Mason Lawson, Johnny Ferguson and Emmy Ferguson; sisters, Pat & Roby Phipps and Carolyn & Ronnie Crisco; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend and boss man, Doug Underwood; long time special friends and fishing buddies, Walter Smith & Jerry Horn and all Lancer Mart & garage friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28 from 5 to 7 Horne Funeral Home. A memorial service will start at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Ferguson officiating.
