The world lost a legend on January 15, 2021 - David Harrison Linkous, 68, of Christiansburg. Most of us knew him by Butch or Two-Dawgs and he was the 8th wonder of the world to many.
David was born was born April 10, 1952 in Montgomery County, Va. He was loved by so many. He was a mighty warrior that fought to live and love until he could no longer. Butch had a career in the automobile business and spent his last years in construction. He was very passionate and dedicated to both. Butch had a larger than life personality and if you were lucky enough to spend time with him you would never forget it. We all can only hope Butch truly knew how much we all loved him. All our hearts will have a huge hole that will never heal.
David was predeceased by his daughter, Tiffany Nicole Linkous; and his mother, Betty J. Macsweeney. Surviving to remember the wonderful life of this caring father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and great friend of so many are his beloved granddaughter, Alexis Thompson; brother, Daryl Linkous; sister, Debbie Echols, along with Brandi Echols, Derick Linkous, Missy Smith ( Bryce and Shawn); as well as his extended family, Travis and Fran Echols, Matthew Echols, Sydney (Mark) Southern, Brent Kidd, Cathy and Ronnie Echols, Randell ‘Beaver’ and Maleta Brillhart and so many more.
There will be a private service at a later date.
