Deborah "Debbie" Ratcliff Alley of Salem, VA went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2020 at the age of 52.
She was born July 14, 1968 to George and Betty Ratcliff in Christiansburg, VA. Debbie relocated to Salem in 1987 and married her loving husband, Kevin with whom she shared the remainder of her life. She dedicated 20 years of service at Salem Walmart as Personnel Manager where she accumulated many friends. She retired in 2015 to enjoy time
with her husband, two daughters, and five grandchildren. Debbie had an innate ability to put a smile on the faces of people she came in contact with - whether it was family, an old friend, or new acquaintance. She was a very special person and will be missed terribly by all who knew her.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty Ratcliff of Christiansburg; brothers, Pete and Joe Ratcliff of Christiansburg; son, Kevin Jr.; and dear friend, Jean Arthur both of Salem.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Kevin Alley; daughters, Brandice Garland (Robbie), Cierra Alley (Dustin); grandchildren, Jayden Alley, Amaya and Adalyn Garland, Elijah and Olivia Roberts, and their father John Roberts, all of Salem; brother, Donald Ratcliff, and his children, Nick and Heather Ratcliff, all of Vinton; sister Crystal Earley of Christiansburg and her sons, Buck and Brandon Earley of Salem; nephew and niece Billy and Katie Ratcliff of Christiansburg, brother-in-laws Jeff Alley of Salem, Steve Alley and his daughter Tuesday Alley of Christiansburg; Brian Alley of Lakeland, FL; sister-in-laws Nancy Alvarado (Mario) and their children, Brittany, Mateo, Katie Alvarado of Altamonte Springs, FL; Kim Alley and children Amanda Dove, Ashley Weaver, Maggie Smith of Lake Mary, FL and her son Joe Weaver of Christiansburg. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends who were all very dear to her.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Open Door Baptist Church in Christiansburg. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1 PM at the Church with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating.
Private graveside services will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg where Debbie will be laid to rest beside her son.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 9 MTN NTICU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the special care Debbie received the weeks preceding her passing.
