WEBB, DELMER R. “BUSTER”, age 90, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2009 in the Roanoke Methodist Home.
He was a longtime employee of Kenrose Manufacturing prior to his retirement. Born in Floyd County, VA the son of the late George and Elitha Webb he was also preceded in death by brothers, Harry Webb, Early Webb and sister, Florence Graham, as well as his wife of 58 years, Pearl J. Webb.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce W. and James W. Holtman, New Castle, VA, Brenda W. and Allen D. Kitts of Roanoke; grandchildren, Traci Rene Hardesty & Dallas Williams, of Kankakee, IL, Christopher B. Holtman and wife, Paula P., New Castle, Zachary A. Kitts and wife, Ivana M., Corey Kitts all of Fairfax, VA; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Holtman and Danielle N. Holtman, both of New Castle, VA; siblings, Nettie Brown, Bertha Schoolcraft, Both of Roanoke, VA, his twin-brother, Elmer L. “Spud” Webb, Floyd, VA; Claudine Browning, Denver, CO, George C. Webb, Jr., Union Hall; in-laws, Roy Jones and wife, Dorothy, Pilot, VA, Ruth St Clair, Maryville, TN and Opal Jones, Christiansburg, VA; many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Horne Funeral Home on Monday, July 13th from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14th in the Horne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Fryar officiation with interment in Sunset Cemetery.
