Dennis Linkous

LINKOUS, Dennis E. 74 of Christiansburg, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, April 20, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father; James Linkous, his mother; Rose Violet, his two brothers; Clovis Linkous and Bobby Linkous. He is survived by his long time friend; Jo Ann Kirk, brother; Danny Linkous and his wife; Pasty, his ex-wife; Shirley Shepherd, his four children; Donald Linkous and his wife; Krista, Ann Vaughn and her finace, Curtis Young, Sharon Sheppard and her husband; Alvin, Penny LaRue and her fiancé; Jeremy Smith. He is also survived by his twelve sweet grandchildren; Kelli, James, Derek, Ashley, Jessica, Denise, Alvin, III, Megan, Mileita, Samuel, Christopher and Brandon. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Dennis was a special father, grandfather and friend. “He will be greatly missed.” The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at The Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Belmont Christian Church with Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Belmont Cemetery.
