Deriek Crouse

Deriek Wayne Crouse, 39, of Christiansburg, VA and formerly of Galax, VA passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin (Butch) and Edna Arnold, and Gene and Gladys Crouse; and uncles, Marvin Arnold, Jr., Terry Arnold, Sr., and David Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Akers Crouse; parents, Tony Crouse and Bonita Arnold; son, Dustin Crouse; stepchildren, Logan and Hayden Schack, and Tyler and Peyton Robinette; brothers, Darris Upchurch and Kevin and Wanda Crouse; aunts Anne Didio and Linda Arnold; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie and Michael Hungate and Connie and Walt Bruffy; father and mother-in-law, Donald (Sonny) and Jane Akers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 3:00 until 8:00 pm at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Virginia Tech’s Cassell Coliseum officiated by Rev. Tommy McDearis. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens of the New River Valley in Blacksburg, VA.
