Diana June Gibson Donathan

Diana June Gibson Donathan, 73, of Christiansburg, VA, formerly of Lynco, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at her home. She was born on January 22, 1948 in Kopperston, WV. She was the daughter of the late Clarence ‘Buck’ Gibson and Erna Bishop Gibson.
She retired from Hubbell Lighting and was a member of the Local Union IUE CWA 82160. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Dale Gibson. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 14 years, Timothy Donathan; her daughter, Sherry Blondino and son-in-law, Matt; grandsons, Zakery Blankenship and Jacob Blondino; her step-children, Tim Donathan (Tanya), Amanda Donathan; and her grandchildren, Gavin, Layla, Tyler, Taylin, and Derick. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Betty Parris (J.D.) of Glade Spring, VA, Debbie Toler (Thomas) of Rincon, GA, Madonna Burchett (Rod) of Stanford, KY, Donald ‘Goldwater’ Gibson (Toni) of Oceana, WV; sister-in-law, Carol Gibson; and a host of loving friends and family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 12-1 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
