Diane Yates

Diane Yates, “Sammy” to those that loved her, of Check, Virginia, went to be with the Lord at the age of 70 on November 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her mother Ann Dalton, father Sherman Burke, and brothers Danny Burke and Greg Dalton. She is survived by her spouse Earl Yates; children Stephanie and Travis Yates; grandchildren Brittany Cockram (Ryan), Jessica Dunn (Cory), Matthew Cockram (Meghan), and Dakota Yates; great grandchildren Carson, Conner, and Madeline; her siblings Tracey, David, and Mark, as well as her puppies “Trouble” and “Isabella.”

Although she faced many challenges throughout her time on Earth, Diane did not let that define her. She was truly a giving woman, who would do anything for anyone. She loved the outdoors, animals, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were her pride and joy. She was one of a kind, loved by many, and will be missed endlessly.
