"It is God Who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect."
II Samuel 22:33
Danie Janov, 80, of Christiansburg, Virginia, peacefully entered her home with Christ on February 17, 2021.
She was a daughter of the late Weldon Whitfield Ridings and Charlotte Hayes Ridings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Janov.
She is survived by her family: daughter, Deanne Mullen Lane and husband, David Lane of Radford, Virginia; daughter, Denise Mullen and husband, Mike Tadych of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren: Kaytlin Lane McCoy (Ryan), Sara Lane Simpkins (Cody), Caroline Tadych, Owen Tadych, and Lauren Tadych; great-grandchildren: Madalyn McCoy and Myles McCoy; sister, Elizabeth Wampler and husband, Sam Wampler of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania; several nieces and cousins; and many friends and art buddies.
Danie was the definition of classic elegance and graceful love. A nationally recognized Artist, she created beauty and purpose in her watercolors, textures, designs and collages. She earned her Doctorate degree in Art Education and regularly taught art programs and workshops, both locally and nationally. She lived a life of creativity, faith and dedication, always putting her family first. She loved to learn and to teach and was a scholar at both.
The family will have a private service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask anyone who knew Danie to send a note of fond memories to: 6215 Crooked Stick Way, Radford, Virginia 24141.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the dedicated staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Good Samaritan Hospice - truly angels on earth.
