Dorothy Sisson Harris

Dorothy Sisson Harris entered into Heaven on January 31, 2011. She was a faithful 32 year member of Open Door Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a loving husband, James W. Harris, and sons Michael David Harris and Billy Norman Harris. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Carolyn Harris of Newport, son and daughter-in-law Gary and Jean Harris of Christiansburg, daughter and son-in-law Joann and David Shepherd of Shawsville, daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Kenny Ratcliff of Ironto and daughter Stacy Harris of Christiansburg; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many close friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Horne Funeral Home, 1300 N Franklin St, Christiansburg. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 10 am at the Open Door Baptist Church, Christiansburg, with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at the Piedmont Cemetery in Shawsville. The Harris family is being served by Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
